Travel itinerary
Arrival individually to the capital of Slavonia, the charming city of Osijek
At 5 p.m. the tour guide will welcome you at the centrally located boutique hotel in the old town. Then take a tour of the historic old town. Osijek, the largest city in Eastern Croatia on the banks of Drava River.
Start our journey in the Osijek Old Town – Tvrđa which is the best preserved and largest ensemble of Baroque buildings in Croatia with the Habsburg star fort built on the right bank of the Drava River. Visiting the Upper City with the main square, the late Gothic Cathedral, historical buildings, fancy shops, restaurants and taste the famous Croatian coffee dinner in the historical quarter.
Osijek – Kopački Rit – Kiskőszeg – Mohács: 75 km
You start your cycling holidays in Osijek, crossing the cycling bridge through Bellye to the Kopački rit Nature Park, a true jewel of the Osijek-Baranja County, which captures the attention of all visitors with its natural beauty.
Discover the Nature Park, the Danube’s largest inland delta, a majestic wetland rich in many species of animals and plants. We will be participating on a boat tour on the Sakadas lake. Cycling through the hidden routes of the Nature Park, visiting the Tikves castle. Transfer to Draz, then cycling on the dyke to Mohács in the Béda wetland area.

Mohács – Villány – Siklós – Harkány: 59 km
After breakfast we leave the city of the Busó and cycle through small cute villages along the Karasica waterflow to one of the most famous wine-growing regions of Hungary the hoe of the best quality red-wines – Villány. Here we have a wine-tasting and stop at the panorama view platform in the Statue Park.
Cycle to Siklós to one of the best-preserved castles in Hungary. Siklós is a charming little town with ha lots of History involved. We have a lunch break here as well. From here we have just a shot biking to Harkány with its big thermal bath and aquapark.
Harkány – Kórós – Adorjás – Szaporca: 30 km
After a hearty buffet breakfast in the hotel, we start cycling to the Ormánság area an extremely rich ethnic region culturally but rather poor in the aspect of living standard.
Your trip ends in Szaporca, where you have the chance to explore the riverside area and the authentic small village. We top at beautifully decorated wooden ceiling churches, then continue nice wetland area with herd of cattle grazing on the fields. Visiting the Szaporca visitor center and the Kisinci-lake is optional. There is lot to do and explore near Szaporca where we stay for the night.
Szaporca – Drávaszabolcs – Belišće – Osijek: 71 km
You start our cycling-tour from Szaporca, follow the Fekete-víz waterflow to the Drava River. After entering Croatia, immerse yourself in the Old Drava meanders, now oxbows – if you are lucky, you will spot a European pond turtle or a swan.
Enjoy pure nature and peace on the Drava dyke before entering Osijek via the shiny Pedestrian Bridge. Finish the day in the old Tvrdja Fortress with a glass of local wine and a typical goulash or fish stew.
